Plot Synopsis

In the 1980s, Jiang Nian'an and Fu Xiaoyao fell in love with each other and got married. Soon after having a son, Fu Xiaoyao went to the city to seek his fortune, and Jiang Nian'an brought up their son "Asheng" alone. By that time, Fu Xiaoyao had achieved great success. Jiang Nian'an went to join him with high hopes, only to find that Fu Xiaoyao had another "family" in the city. In order to maintain his single image, Fu Xiaoyao referred to his wife and son as "country relatives". Facing such hurt, Asheng offered his father three chances. However, Fu Xiaoyao didn't change and repeatedly hurt his wife and son. It was not until Jiang Nian'an left with their son that Fu Xiaoyao finally realized that he couldn't live without them.
