It's Not Easy to Be a Mother

Plot Synopsis

In a small town with strong traditional values, the mother-in-law was bent on having her daughter-in-law, Jolin, give birth to a grandson to carry on the family line, and she went to great lengths with the father-in-law. At first, for the sake of family harmony, Jolin silently complied with all kinds of outrageous demands from her mother-in-law, drinking strange folk remedies and following the complicated "rules" for having a baby. But as she became physically and mentally exhausted, Jolin decided not to remain silent anymore. She began to collect information and fought back with scientific knowledge. She also cleverly teamed up with her husband and asked him to step in and mediate. Thanks to Jolin's efforts, her in-laws gradually changed their mindset.
