Plot Synopsis

Jiang Yinghuai was originally the heir of the Jiang family, a wealthy family in Jincheng. He fell in love with Zhou Qingyun, the daughter of a peasant household, and they had a son named Jiang Yan. When Jiang Yan was five years old, a big fire broke out in the family. His mother sacrificed her life to save Jiang Yan, but her whole body was burned and festered.
