Plot Synopsis

"At the Mercy of Others" is a love drama full of emotional entanglements, family disputes and power struggles. The story revolves around the female protagonist Shi Yan. Her marriage to her husband Qin Xiuhan exists in name only. Qin Xiuhan is cold and ruthless towards her and even forces her to have a child with a strange man to meet the requirements of the family. Shi Yan meets the warlord bigwig Xiao Chenyan in despair and gradually develops feelings for him. Shi Yan's married life is full of pain. Qin Xiuhan has no feelings for her at all and even has a mistress named Liu Ruoyan outside.
