I'm Not a Wild Child

Plot Synopsis

Adiao (Diao Qiuyu) is a girl from the countryside. She was bullied by her step-siblings and local bullies because she was admitted to university, and was facing the crisis of having her university admission quota deprived by her stepfather and the local bully Lu Mingde. Diao Qiuyu's mother, Yue Peiling, tried her best to protect her and even took out the compensation for her deceased husband to support her daughter's schooling. However, Diao Qiuyu's stepfather, Tao Dazhi, and the local bully Lu Mingde plotted to marry her off to Lu Mingde's stupid son in order to control her life. The bullying of the Tao family against Adiao and her mother became more and more intense. Finally, on a rainy night, Adiao couldn't bear it anymore and swung a shovel at Tao Dazhi.
