Hua Zhao

Plot Synopsis

Hua Zhao joined the army in place of her father. After ten years of remarkable military achievements, she was conferred the title of Zhenwei General. The emperor intended to bestow a marriage upon her. When Hua Zhao revealed her female identity, it enraged many people, and thus she demoted herself and returned to her hometown. As compensation, the emperor conferred the title of Martial Champion on her fiancé Qin Jingmo. However, for the sake of power, Qin abandoned his betrothed and married Hua Ling instead, and also repeatedly humiliated Hua Zhao. When envoys from the Western Rong tribe arrived, the Great Xia Kingdom was in unrest. Prime Minister Su Yibai and the eldest princess welcomed Hua Zhao back to the capital. Hua Zhao joined hands with Su Yibai, cleverly exposed the Rong prince Zhao Changgong and the treacherous officials. Eventually, she found her true love and also fulfilled her aspirations.
