General's Diary

Plot Synopsis

Through chapters such as the Gannan Uprising, Marching to Jinggangshan, the Gutian Spirit, Standing Firm in Gannan, the Long March of Life, the Love Song in Yan'an, the Steward of the New Fourth Army, and Liberating Gannan, this film artistically recreates the process of the birth of the diary. The whole play, from eight different historical stages, records the legendary military career of General Lai Chuanzhu through family affection, friendship and love.
