Fish Every Year

Plot Synopsis

On New Year's Eve, Ye Fei went back to her husband Song Qingping's hometown to celebrate the Spring Festival for the first time. At the New Year's Eve dinner table, her mother-in-law didn't allow Ye Fei's daughter to eat the fish, saying that it symbolized having more than enough every year. Ye Fei thought it was a local custom. Although she didn't understand it, she respected it. However, in a blink of an eye, she found that her husband's elder sister's family was feasting on that plate of fish. It turned out that the mother-in-law was deliberately making things difficult for Ye Fei because she hadn't given birth to a boy. In a fit of anger, Ye Fei overturned the New Year's Eve dinner.
