Plot Synopsis

The empress gave birth to a princess. A Taoist priest blathered that the princess was a bringer of disaster. The empress dowager ordered the princess to be killed. Eventually, the princess was abandoned by the chief eunuch by the moat. The eunuch put a collar on the princess and made a cross-shaped scar on her arm as evidence for future recognition. Sixteen years later, the arrogant crown prince bullied a lowly commoner woman in the folk and almost killed her. Little did he know that this woman was actually the princess who had been living in exile.
