Plot Synopsis

The male protagonist, Zhao Mingyuan, was divorced and remarrying. On the wedding day, he sent a message to his daughter, Zhao Xiaoqing. The two had a fierce quarrel because Zhao Mingyuan was going to marry Wang Guizhen. Zhao Xiaoqing left the countryside to start her own business. As she grew more mature mentally, she agreed to her father's remarriage and went there with the betrothal gifts. Zhao Mingyuan came to the bridal chamber but was deliberately made things difficult by Wang Guizhen's younger brother, Wang Jiahao, who asked for a whopping 68,000 yuan as the "door-opening gift". Knowing that Zhao Mingyuan was allergic to alcohol, he still insisted that Zhao Mingyuan drink.
