Plot Synopsis

Lu Yao originally thought that marrying into a wealthy family would enable her to live a life of ease, happiness and contentment. However, not long after getting married, her husband Gu Mingcheng revealed his fangs of being a psychopath. Gu Mingcheng witnessed his mother being beaten to death by his father due to domestic violence when he was young, which made his mind twisted and he was extremely lacking in love. He controlled Lu Yao 24 hours a day in the name of love, forbade her to communicate with anyone, and would even beat her up, abuse and imprison her at the slightest provocation. Lu Yao was covered in bruises and chose to escape in despair. With the help of the plastic surgeon Huo Chen, she had a face change, thinking that she could get rid of Gu Mingcheng's shadow from then on. But unexpectedly, this new face was exactly the same as that of Huo Chen's deceased wife, Shen Shuya.
