Plot Synopsis
During the reign of Emperor Xianfeng, the tea exports of the Qing Dynasty had long put the Sino-British trade in a state of deficit, which greatly damaged the interests of Britain. To reverse this situation, Queen Victoria specifically ordered the Marquess of Dalhousie, the British Governor-General of India, to send botanist Mackinnon to sneak into China to steal tea seedlings and seeds as well as recruit Chinese tea growers. Hu Ying, the young master of Tianquan Tea House and a giant in the tea business in Hunan, and his elder brother Hu Jiabao returned to their hometown of Anhua in Hunan from Beijing to celebrate their father's birthday.
