Plot Synopsis

Relying on the cultural relics in the National Maritime Museum and the marine culture and patriotic culture they contain, with the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895 as the historical background, this play tells the story that the young "Hong Qi" travels back to the scene of the naval battle of the Zhiyuan during his visit to the National Maritime Museum. He fights against foreign enemies together with the ship's helmsman and truly feels the sincere patriotism of the people with lofty ideals in that era. It forms a sharp contrast with the prosperous scene of today's China, showing the epitome of the Chinese nation's realization of the great rejuvenation of the nation in the past hundred years, and spreading to the audience the great vision that the ocean has become a bond connecting the community with a shared future for mankind.
