Plot Synopsis

In Xiquan Village, Leshan Town, Yonghe County, deep in the Taihang Mountains, there is a well-known person named Xi Laolai. Xi Laolai has a secret crush on Aunt Le, who lives next door to the east. Just as the two elders were about to get together, Aunt Le, on hearing that Xi Laolai's son had become the county magistrate, suddenly turned cold towards him. Xiquan Village has had bumper harvests of persimmons year after year. Due to the lack of proper roads, Aunt Le was both worried and anxious. She scolded her son Gafu indirectly, complaining that the officials didn't do anything for the common people.
