Plot Synopsis

Liao Shaoyong and Liao Shaoxia are twin brothers. The younger brother Shaoyong is calm and composed. When he was a teenager, because his father opposed his marriage with the maidservant Jinfeng, he left his hometown. After receiving progressive education, he joined the Communist Party of China and became an officer with outstanding military achievements. The elder brother Shaoxia is smart but ruthless. He graduated from the Whampoa Military Academy and joined the Kuomintang. After many years of separation, the People's Republic of China was founded. Shaoxia surrendered to the Communist Party in Qingcheng, but mutinied after receiving a secret order from the senior Kuomintang spy "Old Duck". The two brothers accidentally reunited, and what they were facing would be a life-and-death confrontation between them as close relatives.
