Plot Synopsis

Both of Xiaocao's parents died when she was young. She was adopted by the couple Chen Qing and brought up by them. Their biological son, Chen Qiang, disliked that Chen Qing and his wife were from a peasant background and publicly claimed that he was an orphan. Xiaocao achieved success in her career and returned to her hometown village to expand it. When Chen Qiang learned that Chen Qing's old house was going to be demolished, he brought his daughter-in-law to ask for the demolition compensation. Chen Qing tolerated everything for the sake of his son, but was repeatedly hurt. Xiaocao was caring and considerate, always thinking about the old couple.
