Plot Synopsis

Sun Weimin, a retired skilled worker, encountered a turning point in his life and was forced to leave the machinery factory where he had been working for decades. Facing family pressure and social ridicule, he insisted on maintaining his self-esteem and self-reliance. An accident enabled him to return to his work position. Confronted with the technical challenges of the transition between the old and the new as well as the disrespect from his apprentice, Sun Weimin, relying on his superb skills and rich experience, successfully solved a series of thorny problems. He not only saved the factory on the verge of bankruptcy but also proved the value of the older generation of workers with his capabilities. Rising from adversity, Sun Weimin, with his wisdom and perseverance, composed a moving hymn of struggle for the second half of his life.
