Plot Synopsis

This story is full of twists and turns as well as warmth, demonstrating the brightness and darkness of human nature, and the power of family affection. Shen Meng, the daughter of the Shen family, was unfortunately abducted and sold when she was five years old for bravely saving her younger brother. During those dark days, she endured inhumane torture, including being burned and thus losing her ability to speak and her memory, and even being forced to become the child bride of a fool. Fortunately, she was eventually rescued by a kind grandfather, and the two of them depended on each other ever since, living a poor but warm life. However, it seemed that fate had no intention of letting Shen Meng off easily. The grandfather was seriously ill and hospitalized, and in order to raise the medical expenses, Shen Meng had to go out to work.
