Plot Synopsis

Jiang Mian returned to China to attend her mother's funeral, only to find that her father had taken possession of all her mother's assets, leaving her with nothing. And before her mother's body was even cold, her father brought back a stepmother and a stepsister. The few of them parted on bad terms, and Jiang Mian was suspicious about her mother's sudden death. That night, Jiang Mian went to a bar to get drunk and ran into her stepsister. Unexpectedly, she overheard her stepsister saying that her mother's death was actually the result of being driven to the wall by the Bai family. The glass in Jiang Mian's hand dropped. Afraid of being noticed by her stepsister, she hurriedly left.
