Plot Synopsis

There were two daughters in the Song family of Yong'an Marquis Mansion. The legitimate daughter, Song Mingyue, was born to Madam Song, the mistress of the house. The illegitimate daughter, Song Xingchen, was born to Li Yin, a concubine. The two looked very much alike. When they grew up, the elder sister Song Mingyue became the imperial noble consort. However, because she was unable to bear children, she let Song Xingchen enter the palace as her substitute to receive the emperor's favor and help her conceive and give birth. Song Xingchen pretended to refuse but actually intended to agree. Taking the jade pendant that her mother left before her death, she entered the palace in this way and began her path of revenge.
