Plot Synopsis

Tang Que, a modern-day office worker, accidentally traveled through time and found himself in the eunuch-cleansing room when he opened his eyes. Coincidentally, envoys from the Northern Liao Dynasty were causing trouble in the former court. He narrowly escaped disaster by demonstrating his talent for reciting poems and was then taken to the imperial court to outwit the envoys from the Northern Liao Dynasty. However, this was just the beginning. Treacherous court officials were abusing their power, and the country was facing both internal unrest and external threats. The isolated emperor placed high hopes on Tang Que. Tang Que could only rise to the challenge and engage in a battle of wits and courage with the corrupt officials and sycophants, thus embarking on a legendary life.
