Plot Synopsis

Su Yun, the nephew of Su Qing, the sworn brother of the founding emperor of Dahua. He was loyal to the emperor and loved the country, highly regarded by the emperor. Secretly, he was promised the Dan Shu Tie Quan (a kind of imperial warrant granting special privileges) and an engagement to the eldest princess. Once, when he saw an injustice on the road, he offended the son of Prime Minister Hu Shan and was beaten to death on the spot. Su Qing, grief-stricken and indignant, dragged the corpse to present a petition to the emperor. Emperor Liu Yu was furious, only to discover that behind this case was actually a conspiracy by Prince Qi, Liu Zhen.
