Plot Synopsis

In the lush grove, six innocent boys and girls, each with their own concerns, were playing happily. Until one day, Menma Honma, who had an angelically lovely face, died accidentally, casting a shadow on the hearts of the other friends that could never be erased. Many years later, the friends gradually drifted apart. Jinta Yadomi, who felt deeply guilty about the incident back then, locked himself up at home. Somehow, Jinta suddenly saw the figure of grown-up Menma. He told this to Atsumu Matsuyuki whom he happened to meet. Matsuyuki was extremely excited and quickly gathered other friends such as Yukiatsu Matsuyuki, Naruko Anjo, and Tsuruko Sakata together to find out Menma's unfulfilled wish. But could the friends with their hearts full of scars set out again hand in hand?
