Plot Synopsis

Through the arduous experience and life-and-death love affair of the painter Zhang Zeduan in creating "Along the River During the Qingming Festival" at great peril, this play recreates the events of the Chinese nation eight hundred years ago, the various aspects of the common people from all walks of life, and the precarious situation of the Northern Song Dynasty, which was indulging in a dissipated life in the south of the Yangtze River without any intention of recovering the lost territory.
