Plot Synopsis

Xu Yan, the son of a leading figure in agronomy, has been unaware of his true background since childhood. He went to the wealthy Gu family to propose marriage as a rural farmer, carrying a marriage certificate. The people of the Gu family looked down on him, and the eldest daughter, Gu Wenxue, reluctantly married him for the sake of the family. The bride's parents returned to their hometown with the couple.
