Plot Synopsis

Chen Dong, the son of a rural family, was under the dual pressures of family poverty and his mother's serious illness. His father lost his wife in order to send Chen Dong to college. However, Chen Dong deliberately got a zero score in the Chinese test during the college entrance examination, planning to go out to work to relieve the family burden. Nevertheless, a turn of fate led to his unexpected special recruitment by Tsinghua University and Peking University, and thus he embarked on the path of studying. In the university, Chen Dong won the favor of his tutor and became acquainted with his female classmate Meng Wanqing. There were constant bullies and unjust incidents in his hometown, and Chen Dong's family suffered all kinds of hardships and injustices. Chen Dong used his wisdom and courage to fight against the bully forces and finally brought justice and hope to his hometown.
