Plot Synopsis

Due to pollution, globally variable acid rain has been triggered. The land is barren, with a severe shortage of food. Ling Xiao, who was born into a farmer's family, managed to get by because there was still some stock in the family's granary. As food became increasingly scarce, people's ugly behaviors in the scramble for food made Ling Xiao feel as if he were in purgatory. Ling Xiao developed an innovative technology enterprise, which not only purified water sources but also invented compressed biscuits, bringing people's lives back to normal.
