Plot Synopsis

After Wang Aiqin and Liu Haitao got married, Mother Liu, Liu Haitao's mother, brought her younger daughter Liu Haiping to their home and demanded to live with them. After Liu Haitao refused, the two pressured him. Wang Aiqin persuaded her husband to agree in order to fulfill her filial piety, but was mocked by Mother Liu as "pretending to be a good person". After moving in, Mother Liu snatched the monthly living expenses of 50,000 yuan and only left 5 yuan. Wang Aiqin endured it for the sake of family harmony. Wang Jinlian, Liu Haitao's ex-wife, frequently came to their home to provoke and, together with Mother Liu, humiliated Wang Aiqin. Later, Liu Haitao's company was on the verge of bankruptcy. When he borrowed money from Wang Jinlian, he was humiliated and beaten instead. In a critical moment, Wang Aiqin used all her savings to help out. Finally, Mother Liu and Liu Haiping recognized the truth and apologized to Wang Aiqin. The family resolved the conflicts and became real relatives.
